Sun dresses, church dresses, dance recital costumes, and prom dresses were often the result of evenings spent with a mother or aunt, diligently working at the sewing machine.

Watching these women pour their love and attention into every step of the process was like watching Leonardo da Vinci paint the Mona Lisa. The anticipation of seeing the finished work was almost unbearable, but completely worth it when the garment was finally presented, with the seamstress beaming with pride and satisfaction.
