Choosing the Fabric
Every project starts with finding the right materials. I handpick fabrics for their feel, durability, and beauty — only keeping what I'd be proud to put my name on.
The story, values, and love behind every handmade stitch
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3 In my youth, sewing was a common activity for women. Sun dresses, church dresses, dance recital costumes, and prom dresses were often the result of evenings spent with a mother or aunt, diligently working at the sewing machine.
Watching these women pour their love and attention into every step of the process was like watching Leonardo da Vinci paint the Mona Lisa. The anticipation of seeing the finished work was almost unbearable, but completely worth it when the garment was finally presented, with the seamstress beaming with pride and satisfaction.
This wasn't just a dress. This was love in action. That skill, packed away in my memory, became a source of comfort when a lengthy illness brought my career in healthcare to an end. I found myself entering a new season of life, and God helped me embrace what He had in store for me: continued opportunities to experience joy and share that joy with others. Today, I lovingly craft each item with the hope that it will bring you joy and be received exactly as intended—with love.
“Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion...” — Ecclesiastes 3:22

Every bag and accessory follows the same careful process — no shortcuts, no production lines. Just one maker doing the work with intention from start to finish.

I cut, pin, and sew every piece myself at my own machine. Every seam is reinforced, every detail inspected. There's no assembly line — just me and the work.
Each finished piece is carefully packaged and dispatched within 3–5 business days. I want it to arrive feeling like a gift — because that's exactly how I send it.
Mumsy Made It exists because handmade things are worth making — and worth buying. I build every piece with these values at the center of every decision.
I love what I make. That's not a slogan — it's the reason I haven't stopped even when things were hard. Every stitch carries that genuine joy.
I'd rather make ten things well than a hundred things fast. I'll never compromise on materials or construction — and I'll never make more than I can stand behind.
Custom orders are always welcome. If you have a vision, I want to help make it real. Reach out — every order matters and every customer deserves a personal reply.
I personally respond to every message. Whether you're after something specific, want to know more about a product, or have a one-of-a-kind custom order in mind — I'd love to hear from you.
